We have three new tips for the next coalition of enlightened people who want to save American democracy.

1) Do not launch by telling the New York Times you’ve got ‘serious hedge fund’ money.

2 ) Do not rent ‘swank offices a stone’s throw from the White House.’ (Avoiding the serious hedge fund money could probably help with this.)

3 ) Don’t confuse the good intentions of Tom Friedman with an idea that makes sense.

Dave Weigel on the “failure” of Americans Elect.

Looking for a common-sense and simple election reform plan? Try us. We abide by all three of Dave’s tips. And supporting us is as easy as singing a petition to move Election Day to Saturday and Sunday, from Tuesday, so way more people can vote.

About

We're a nonpartisan and nonprofit group, founded in 2005, dedicated to increasing America's horrible voter turnout by asking a simple question: why do we vote on Tuesday? The answer: absolutely no good reason whatsoever. You'll find a longer and equally infuriating answer in this TED talk.

We hope you'll sign our petition asking the President and Congress to pass The Weekend Voting Act, which would move elections to Saturday & Sunday (duh) so more people can vote.

We also have an old-school website.
