Our Chairman, Ambassador Andrew Young,  is asking you to vote on November 6 AND to vote on how you think we can improve our broken voting system. So, in addition to voting in this year’s election, take a minute right now and fill-out this important survey. The Ambassador’s letter is below:

My Dear Fellow American:
As Election Day approaches, our nation is focused on which candidate will win. Sadly, the winner will almost certainly be chosen by less than 30% of ALL eligible voters. Thus, our democracy will be the big loser as we will once again earn the shameful distinction of being 138th out of the democratic nations worldwide and dead last amongst the G-8 in voter turnout. We must now join together to solve this national crisis. We must make sure our democracy doesn’t lose again. To that end, we can begin right here, right now, if you, your friends, employees, and members of organizations you are a part of, vote twice: once on Election Day for whomever you prefer; and a second time by following this link to a quick and secure survey on ways to improve our voting system. With these simple acts, we will start a movement to strengthen our democracy. So please take a moment now and forward this link to everyone in your address book. When Martin Luther King was asked in 1965 why it took almost 200 years to break down the barriers to the voting booth for all citizens, he said it was “the silence of good people.” By coming together now, we can give voice to the urgent need to upgrade our voting system and make 2012 the last election cycle where our nation ranks among the bottom in a democratic process that is the foundation of our identity as a beacon of freedom to the world.
God Bless You,
Andrew Young
P.S. Remember, if you don’t vote, you don’t count!

About

We're a nonpartisan and nonprofit group, founded in 2005, dedicated to increasing America's horrible voter turnout by asking a simple question: why do we vote on Tuesday? The answer: absolutely no good reason whatsoever. You'll find a longer and equally infuriating answer in this TED talk.

We hope you'll sign our petition asking the President and Congress to pass The Weekend Voting Act, which would move elections to Saturday & Sunday (duh) so more people can vote.

We also have an old-school website.
