It’s time for our politicians to finally fix America’s broken voting system.
Today our Chairman, Ambassador Andrew Young, sent out a survey to all Senators, Representatives, and congressional candidates calling upon them to fix our voting system and asking them to answer four questions on ways to improve voting. Here’s Ambassador Young’s statement:

Sadly, turnout in America for national elections is 138th out of 172 democracies around the world and dead last amongst the G8 countries,” Young said in his letter. “Despite the billions of dollars that will be spent in this year’s election, American voter participation will likely remain so low that we rank in the bottom twenty percent of all nations in turnout. Even though the overwhelming majority of Americans favor reforming our election process, there is nevertheless a deafening silence in the public sphere on this vitally important issue. That is why we are endeavoring to end the silence of good people by calling upon you to join us in an important dialogue.

We’ll be posting the responses here on our website and a report card will be generated with the names of all those asked to respond.

About

We're a nonpartisan and nonprofit group, founded in 2005, dedicated to increasing America's horrible voter turnout by asking a simple question: why do we vote on Tuesday? The answer: absolutely no good reason whatsoever. You'll find a longer and equally infuriating answer in this TED talk.

We hope you'll sign our petition asking the President and Congress to pass The Weekend Voting Act, which would move elections to Saturday & Sunday (duh) so more people can vote.

We also have an old-school website.
